Make one business-context file for ChatGPT, Claude and Grok

Write a short company brief once, then reuse the same facts in three assistants without repeating your introduction.

You get
A company-context.md file, saved project guidance and a first business draft in each assistant
Time
25 minutes
You need
  • Approved company facts and permission to share them with each assistant
  • ChatGPT and Claude project access, plus a Grok chat
  • A text editor to save the master company-context.md

Steps

  1. Make the master brief

Paste this prompt into your assistant, review the facts and save the reply as company-context.md.

Copy, then replace the [bracketed] parts
Create company-context.md under 180 words using only these approved facts.
[Company name, customers, services, service area, differentiators, preferred tone, terms to avoid, approval requirements and today's date.]
Use clear headings. Separate facts from working preferences. Mark missing details unknown. Include an instruction to ask before inventing prices, claims or commitments. Exclude personal data, credentials and confidential commercial terms. Return the complete Markdown text for me to save, without commentary.

You now have A short, dated company brief you control

  2. Add it to ChatGPT

Create a ChatGPT project, upload company-context.md as a source and save the instruction below as its project instructions.

Copy, then replace the [bracketed] parts
Use company-context.md as the company briefing for work in this project. Apply its approved facts and preferences. If you cannot read it, ask me to attach it. Ask about missing or conflicting facts before making claims. Never invent prices or approvals.

You now have A project whose chats share your brief and guidance

  3. Add it to Claude

Create a Claude project, upload the same file into project knowledge and save this in Set project instructions.

Copy, then replace the [bracketed] parts
Read company-context.md before drafting company work in this project. Follow its preferences and approval requirements. Distinguish approved facts from assumptions. If the file is inaccessible or a necessary detail is missing, ask before using it. Do not imply a draft has been approved or sent.

You now have A Claude project with the same facts and boundaries

  4. Give Grok the same brief

Start a Grok chat and paste the master brief with this instruction. Repeat it in each fresh Grok chat so the recipe does not depend on a saved-preference feature.

Copy, then replace the [bracketed] parts
Use the approved company briefing below for this chat. Separate its facts from preferences, keep missing facts unknown and do not invent prices or approvals. Confirm the briefing date and one approval rule before drafting.

    COMPANY BRIEFING
    [paste company-context.md]

You now have A Grok chat supplied with the same company facts

  5. Get the first useful result

Start fresh chats inside the configured ChatGPT and Claude projects, and use the Grok chat where you pasted the brief. Send this prompt to each.

Copy, then replace the [bracketed] parts
Using the saved company briefing, draft [a short service introduction or another current deliverable] for [audience]. First state the briefing date, intended customer and one approval rule you found. If the briefing is unavailable, say so and ask me to attach company-context.md. Mark missing facts instead of guessing. Return the draft followed by any questions for review.

You now have Three business drafts checked against the same source facts
